ABOUT

West Allotment Celtic Football Club is a football club who currently play their home games at Druid Park in Ponteland, Tyne & Wear, England.

They joined the Northern Alliance in 1983 and won the title 8 times before joining the Northern League in 2004. The club then won the Northern League Second Division at the first attempt, gaining promotion to Division One, where they remained until 2011 when they were relegated back to Division Two.


West Allotment have participated in the FA Vase since the mid-1980s and have reached the 4th round (the last 32 stage) twice in their history, in successive seasons 2003–04 and 2004–05. They entered the FA Cup for the first time in 2005–06, and have yet to progress beyond the preliminary round.

Roland Mather

Roland is a former player with over 300 games under his belt. He succeeded his father Joe as chairman and carried out this role for 12 years before retiring and becoming president

Chairman

Jim Wilson

Jim is another former player who played around 250 games for the club. Jim became chairman when Roland moved up to President 3 years ago, he previously acted as the club physio for more than 15 years

Vice Chairman/Secretary

Ted Ilderton

Ted is a former NFA official and referee, he is vastly experienced in all matters regarding administration and procedures connected with fooball. He is regularly asked  by officials of other clubs for his advice


Treasurer

John Alexander

John is another former player who played in goal on numerous occasions, he has looked after the clubs finances for over 40 years and his book keeping is as safe as his hands were in goal

Program Editor/Press Officer

Stephen Allot

Stephen is the son of former player Eric and does a fantastic job editing and producing the matchday program as well as doubling up as matchday secretary

Graeme Jackson

Graeme is the son of the late John Jackson who is a club legend, Graeme is carrying on the great Jackson tradition with his association with WACFC and his photography is amazing

Michael Wilson
